Abstract: |
Objective To understand sleep quality and anxiety of critically ill patients with corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19), and to provide a theoretical basis for regulating sleep. Methods A general questionnaire survey method was used, which Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)were used to investigate 40 critically ill COVID-19 patients in a certain ward of Hubei. Sleep related influencing factors and anxiety were discussed by descriptive analysis, mono-factor analysis, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Results Total score of PSQI was(14.67±4.67), and total score of SAS score was(51.55±10.10). Sleep quality and anxiety were positively correlated by Pearson analysis (r=0.923). Multiple regression analysis showed that thereweremainfactors affecting sleep quality, including marital status, only child, subjective perception of severity and anxiety. Conclusion The overall sleep quality of critically ill patients with COVID-19 is poor. Relevant emergency measures should be improved, psychological counseling and training on COVID-19 related knowledge should be strengthened to reduce anxiety, improve sleep quality, and promote physical and mental health. |
